Jaguar Land Rover reveal more on the new Ingenium Engine range
Much has changed at Jaguar Land Rover in the last few years, with Land Rover’s model range undergoing a dramatic transformation with the Evoque, Range Rover and Range Rover Sport (and the new Discovery family on it way with the Discovery Sport) boosting sales and appeal. And the same is happening at Jaguar with the XF and XJ offering real competition to the German premium brands, the F-Type carving out a hugely appealing niche of its own and the new Jaguar XE on its way to take on the BMW 3-Series and Mercedes C-Class. But the missing piece of the puzzle is the introduction of a new range of engines developed and built by JLR to replace the still able, but bought-in, engines JLR currently use.
It looks like the new series of Top Gear – Series 19 – will start on 27th January after ticket allocations opened up for the Wednesday before. The new series of Top Gear – which will be series 19 – should have been on our screens months ago, but the summer of sport, Strictly and the X Factor hogging schedules meant BBC bosses decided to save the new Top Gear for the New Year. But it now looks like Top Gear is set to return on 27th January after Applause Store listed five new dates for Top Gear tickets, starting on Wednesday 23rd January (which should air on Sunday 27th January) running through to Wednesday 20th February (which will air on Sunday 24th).

Renault today unveiled its new 133bhp Twingo RS in Paris - with a little help from F1 stars Fernando Alonso and Nelson Piquet Jnr, who were in town for the launch of their R28 F1 car. The Twingo RS has a naturally aspirated 1.6-litre engine that produces 20bhp more than the 1.2-litre turbo of the Twingo GT. There are cosmetic differences between the two cars as well, such as extended front and rear wings, a rear spoiler and a lower front bumper on the RS.
